MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University soccer programs are hosting a pair of camps this summer for interested athletes.
DWU hosts the All-American Striker-Keeper Camp July 1-2 and the Tiger Soccer Residential Camp July 22-25. Both camps will be in Mitchell on the DWU campus and at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell.
The Striker-Keeper Camp costs $95 per participant and includes five skill-specific training sessions, as well as a mental skills training session. Video analysis of each athlete’s technique will be available, and all training will be at a high level of intensity and designed for soccer players looking to play at the collegiate level. A dorm room and meals is included in the price, and each camper will receive a Nike T-shirt and sack-pack.
The residential camp is $195 per participant, and includes a dorm room and meals, as well as two training sessions and one scrimmage per day. High-caliber training and individual coaching will be provided, and each camper will receive individual evaluation by a camp coach. A camp T-shirt and DWU water bottle will be provided, along with one fun session at the Mitchell Aquatic Center.
A certified athletic trainer will be on site at each of the two camps. If an athlete wants to participate in both camps, the cost is $260. A commuter rate is available for both camps for athletes in the area who don’t need a dorm room.
