DWU wrestling cancels Jamestown dual

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University wrestling team canceled its dual with Jamestown College, head coach Matt Sedivy announced Friday.

The nonconference dual, which was scheduled to be wrestled Wednesday, Feb. 6, in Mitchell, will not be made up.

Sedivy said both teams are dealing with injuries and have decided to prepare instead for their respective qualifying tournaments, which are Feb. 16. The Tigers’ last warm up before the North Qualifying Tournament – which is the only way for wrestlers to qualify for nationals this season – is Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Briar Cliff Open.

The qualifying tournament is Saturday, Feb. 16, in Fremont, Neb.
