MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University softball team has postponed its home opener, head coach Ed Kieff announced Monday morning.
The Tigers were scheduled to host Jamestown College in a nonconference doubleheader Wednesday, March 20, and then play Black Hills State University in another nonconference doubleheader Thursday, March 21, but both games have been postponed indefinitely due to the cold, windy forecast and poor field conditions. A makeup date has not yet been set for either game.
Dakota Wesleyan – which is 0-12 after its spring break trip to California – is scheduled to start Great Plains Athletic Conference play Saturday, March 23, when it travels to Hastings, Neb., to take on Hastings College. The Tigers’ next scheduled home game is Wednesday, April 3, against Briar Cliff University.
