MITCHELL, S.D. – Unfavorable weather conditions have caused more changes for the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball and softball teams this weekend.
The baseball team’s home opener has been pushed back and the Tiger softball team’s Great Plains Athletic Conference opener has been rescheduled due to the chilly forecast for the weekend. The Tiger baseball team was scheduled to host Valley City State University in a pair of doubleheaders Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, those games have been canceled. The Tigers are scheduled to host Briar Cliff University Thursday, March 28.
The DWU softball team was slated to open league play Saturday, March 23, at Hastings College, but that game has been pushed back to April 25 at 5 p.m. Dakota Wesleyan was also scheduled to play York College Sunday in nonconference doubleheader in York, Neb., but that game was canceled. The Tigers are scheduled to travel to Orange City, Iowa, on Tuesday, March 26, to play Northwestern College.
