Head Cheerleading Coach

The Dakota Wesleyan University cheerleading program is growing into a high energy, exciting program, and leading that charge is head coach Traci Loecker.
Loecker is in her second season as the head cheer coach at DWU, and she came to the university with extensive cheer experience. She is currently the sole owner and head coach of Xtreme Cheer, which was founded in 2003 and is a youth organization that promotes health, fitness, self-confidence and faith through recreational and competitive cheerleading.
Prior to taking charge of Xtreme Cheer, Loecker was the head cheer coach at Huron University from 1995 until moving to Mitchell in 1997. The Wessington, S.D., native starting cheering in the sixth grade in her hometown.
Loecker is a marking specialist at McLaughlin International in Mitchell, and also helps her fiancé, Doug Heidinger, run two hunting lodges. She lives in Mitchell with Heidinger and her two children, Taylor and Jordan. Loecker graduated in 2013 with a degree in business and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in business.
