DWU women’s golf takes fifth at GPAC Fall Qualifier

VERMILLION, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team concluded its fall portion of the season, finishing in fifth place at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Fall Qualifier Monday and Tuesday at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, S.D.

 Nicole Nelson (Platte, S.D.) led the way for the Tigers, tying in14th-place finish after carding a 172. Freshman Brook Ehlers (Worthing, S.D.) took 22nd after shooting a 178, while Skylar Brunk (Lee's Summit, Mo.) tied for 27th-place with a 181. Sophomore Emily Sharkey (Upton, Wyo.) finished in 34th-place and Madison VanWalleghen (Letcher, S.D.) took 37th.

 Briar Cliff was the team champion with a team score of 640.

 The final 36 holes will be played in the spring at the Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus, Neb.
