MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University head women's golf coach Tom Hoek signed his second recruit for the 2018-19 season with the addition of Dell Rapids, S.D., native Kaitlyn Greenhoff.
The four-time South Dakota Class 'A' State Golf Tournament qualifier will begin her collegiate career after participating for the Quarrier golf team for five seasons.
Greenhoff finished her high school career with a flurry of top finishes. At the Dak-12 Conference Meet, she finished with a fourth-place medal. She continued onto the Pre-Region Meet where she took first, followed by a third-place finish at the Region 1A Golf Tournament.
At the Sioux Empire Jr. Golf Challenge, her most recent tournament competed in, Greenhoff notched a second-place finish at the Central Valley Golf Course.
During her junior campaign, she tallied a seventh-place finish at the Dak-12 Conference Meet, a fifth-place finish at the Region 1A Golf Tournament, followed by a 29th-place finish at the state golf tournament.
"Kaitlyn will be a wonderful addition to our women's program," Hoek said. "She exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete and will make a great impact not only on the golf course, but in our academic community and campus environment overall. Our women's program will instantly benefit from Kaitlyn's strong character and passion for the game."
Greenhoff is the daughter of Lauren and Christine Greenhoff and plans to major in nursing at DWU.
