General: One of the top options for head coach Matt Wilber under the net ... played a pivotal last season as a sophomore, taking the Tigers to the NAIA National Tournament ... will be looked upon as leader in his third-year.

Sophomore (2015-16): Averaged 4.8 points per game and 2.4 rebounds.

Freshman (2014-15): Had an average of two rebounds and 4.7 points per game … played in 32 games as a true freshman.

High School: Completed a successful career at South Dakota Class AA powerhouse Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School … averaged 9.6 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 64 percent from the field for the Rough Riders, who finished the 2013-14 season as AA state champions at 23-2 … named to the All-City, All-Tournament and All-Conference teams in his final season … was also a Regents’ Scholar.

MITCHELL, S.D. – Following a third-straight trip to the NAIA Men’s National Basketball Tournament, the accolades continue for the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team. Senior Tate Martin (Mitchell, S.D.) was named to the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball All-America First-Team while Jason Spicer (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Ty Hoglund (Dell Rapids, S.D.) were each named Honorable Mention, it was announced by the NAIA Thursday.
