SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Great Plains Athletic Conference has released the 2025 All-Conference teams for Football.
Dakota Wesleyan's selections were headlined by First Team All-Conference members Cole Holden and Landon Ruesink, who were the standout players on either side of the ball for DWU this season. Holden, a wide receiver from Watertown, South Dakota, posted 888 yards receiving and seven touchdowns to cap off an impressive four-year career with the program. Ruesink, a native of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, was tabbed first team for his efforts at defensive back, and was also named honorable mention punt returner. Overall, Ruesink posted 42 tackles, a tackle-for-loss, an interception, and 14 pass breakups during the season.
DWU Football had two Second Team All-Conference selections in freshman offensive lineman Gavin Pischke (Hartford, S.D.) and senior defensive lineman Cody Winslow (Hillsdale, Wyo.) for their efforts in the trenches. The team rounded out its eight total distinctions on the Honorable Mention list, with the previously mentioned punt returner Ruesink, along with defensive lineman Carter Skogsberg, senior linebacker Grayson Hanson, and defensive back Trevor Sladky, who ended his season leading the Tigers with four interceptions.
