BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Dakota Wesleyan Men's Golf completed the first portion of the 2025-26 season at the Firestorm Invitational against some of the NAIA's top competition.
The men's roster competed over the course of three days, split into individual rounds at the Verrado Golf Course. The Tigers were led by Hartford, South Dakota native, Peyton Bettcher. Bettcher recorded a 228 (+12) overall to secure a tied-47th placing on the individual leaderboards. His best round came on the second day of competition, where he posted a 75 (+3) in an impressive effort. He was followed by true freshman Ben Wilber, who peaked in the third and final round with a 77 (+5) to end his run at the tournament with an overall score of 241 (+25). Dakota Munger finished just one stroke behind Wilber with a posted final tally of 242 (+26) after starting with his best round, scoring 78 (+6) in the first portion of the meet.
Will Jarding and Jack Olson rounded out the lineup for the Tigers. Jarding posted a 250 (+34) following a solid start and improved finish in the third round, while Olson saw a more consistent effort across the board throughout the tournament, ending the meet with a score of 254 (+38). Overall, the team finished in 16th place against some of the best lineups in the country. The Firestorm Invitational marked the end of the team's fall season.
