WICHITA, Kan. — Dakota Wesleyan Men's Golf opened the spring portion of the season at the 2026 Crestview Spring Invitational, hosted by NAIA school Friends University.

The Tigers filled out a full five-man lineup with an independent athlete in the sixth spot for DWU. The team's effort was led by Dakota Munger, who returned from his trip to Arizona with the baseball team and ended up placing 12th individually. He recorded nine birdies throughout 54 played holes, including one-below-par finishes in the 18th hole of every single round, to propel himself to a strong performance of 222 (+6) by the end of the contest. He was followed closely by Peyton Bettcher, who tied for 14th place individually with a final total of 224 (+8). Bettcher saw his best performance in round two, where he recorded three of his seven birdies, and ended just one stroke above par.

Benjamin Wilber was the lineup's third-best performer with a solid opening round, grabbing half of his six birdies on holes one, six, and 18, pushing him to a tied-30th-place finish individually. His efforts led the middle of the pack for DWU, as Jack Olson followed just one stroke behind Wilber with a 32nd-place finish and a final score of 236 (+20). At the same time, Will Jarding would record a 240 (+24) following a surge in the second round to earn 36th overall. Ryan Flannery rounded out the Tigers' effort with a 249 (+33) final score individually. As a team, the group placed fifth out of 12 total schools, earning 16.07 NAIA team points in the process.

DWU Men's Golf will be back in action at the Bethel Spring Invitational later this month. See the full 2025-26 schedule here.
