In 2025 Coach Meyerink had a successful season as his team saw multiple GPAC mentions. The women’s team finished runner-up at the GPAC Tournament led by Allison Meyerink, who won the individual title, placed 52nd at NAIA nationals, and earned GPAC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors. Ashton Austreim and Sara Sudenga earned Second Team All-GPAC honors. The men’s team placed finished fourth in conference with Connor Calahan, Dakota Munger, and Peyton Bettcher earning conference honors for their top-11 individual finishes.
Meyerink currently serves as the Mitchell High School head girls golf coach that was the 2023 State AA Champions for the first time in school history. Meyerink was also named the SDHSAA Golf Coach-of-the-year. Jeff also led the girls Kernel’s team to back-to-back state runner ups in 2021 and 2022, were the 2023 and 2021 ESD champions, and his squad won 10 of the 14 total tournaments during the 2023 season.
Meyerink has also had quite the playing career of his own with a big list of accomplishments throughout his career.
