Sioux City, Iowa - The Dakota Wesleyan Tigers traveled to Sioux City, Iowa to compete in the Sioux City Relays at Morningside University.
Track Events:
Sprints-
- Barrett Nielsen (Jr.) competed in the 110m and 400m hurdles. Nielsen continues to drop time in the 400m hurdles as he set another PR, two weeks in a row, with a time of 56.40 seconds. This currently moves him to #8 in the GPAC. In the 110m hurdles Nielsen qualified for finals where he ran a 15.64 second time. Another PR for the hurdler.
- Sean DeBlieck (Fr.) ran in the 100m. He ran a 11.2 second run.
- Ian Chrisler (Fr.) ran in the 400m race. He ran a lifetime PR of 52.78.
Distance-
- Gage Dietterle (So.) had a solid day on the track as he ran a PR of 4:35 minutes in the 1500m race.
Relays-
- The Tigers took part in the college section of the sprint medley. Which consists of the 200m run by A'Johntez Moore and Quenton Walls, the 400m portion by Barret Nielsen, and the 800m run by Ian Chrisler. The medley team ran a time of 3:43.89 and placed 2nd.
Field Events:
Jumps-
- Quenton Walls (So.) placed 4th overall in the triple jump with a mark of 12.92m.
- A'Johntez Moore (Fr.) had a big day in the triple jump as he not only won the event overall, but also found his momentum and jumped a college PR of 13.92m. In long jump he placed 4th. He also sits as #5 in the conference.
Throws-
- Christian Hanna (Sr.) the senior competed in the shot put, discus, and hammer throws. In the shot he threw an outdoor PR of 11.47m mark. In discus, Hanna hit a PR of 35.86m. Out throwing his previous PR that he set last week. In the hammer he threw 33.07m.
- Max Raab (Jr.) competed in javelin, his best mark of the day was 46.59m. Placing him 5th overall in his event.
- Ethan Watson (Fr.) took part in three throwing events throughout the day. All outdoor PR's for the freshman. In the shot put the freshman threw a 15.58m throw, placing 3rd overall in the meet. In discus the freshman hit another outdoor PR with a 40.28m, that placed him at 7th overall In the hammer Watson PR'd by throwing a 40.45m throw.
Tigers Looking Ahead-
The men's track team will travel to Rapid City, South Dakota to compete in the School of Mines Invite hosted by School of Mines-South Dakota.
