Bio
Coach Jared Seckel was named the head coach of both the DWU Cross Country and Track & Field programs on July 1st, 2026.
Before Wesleyan, Seckel most recently served as the head coach of MidAmerica Nazarene University Cross Country from 2022 through the previous school year. In his four seasons leading the Pioneers, along with his assistant duties on the track and field team, Seckel had a hand in developing over 30 HAAC All-Conference Athletes and multiple national qualifiers, along with helping the women's track and field team win an outdoor conference championship in 2024. Prior to his time with the Pioneers, Seckel served as a graduate assistant distance coach at Southwest Minnesota State University for two years and was an assistant at Concordia University, Portland, from 2018-2020. Seckel was also an All-American cross-country athlete in the NWAC and was a member of both the cross-country and track and field programs at Concordia during the conclusion of his undergraduate studies from 2015 through 2017.
