Bio

General: Enters his second season for the DWU track team in 2016 … looks to use his experience in his freshman season to help propel him to greater heights as a sophomore.

Freshman (2015): Competed at the indoor Minnesota State Multi and Open and had strong performance in the 5,000-meter run, as he finished in first with a time of 16:03.95 … had a sixth place finish in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 9:16.18 at the indoor Dordt Open … finished the mile run at the Buena Vista Invite in a time of 4:32.63 … capped off his indoor season at the GPAC Championships with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 15:42.43 and finished ninth place in the 3,000-meter run in 9:04.95 … started the outdoor season at the Vance Butler Invitational with a 14^th-place finish in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 16:12.86 … finished in fifth place in the 5,000-meter-run at the Red Raider Open in a time of 15:55.43 … completed his freshman season at the GPAC Championships with a fifth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:08.90 and finished 12^th in the men’s 5,000-meter run with a 16:15.02.

High School: Ran cross-country and track for Kenesaw High School … placed fifth at state cross-country in a time of 17:11 for a 5K … finished first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:00.29 … ran a 4:40 in the 1600 meter run for a fourth place finish at state … was a member of the National Honor Society … on the honor roll throughout high school … a Nebraska Believers and Achievers Nominee.

Personal: Born on Dec. 27, 1995 … son of Dustin and Carrie Tibbs … an accounting major.
