General: The Bennington, Neb., junior readies for his third season with the Tiger cross country program.
Sophomore (2021): Competed in all five meets ... season best in the 8K at Mount Marty Invite.
Freshman (2020): Raced in every meet for Dakota Wesleyan … registered a season-best in the 8K at the Briar Cliff Invite (28:31.8) … finished the season by placing 57th at the 2020 GPAC Championships.
High School: Participated in track and cross-country for four seasons … placed third in his conference with a mark of 2:01.7 minutes in the 800-meter run … was part of a 4x800-meter relay team that placed first in their district and third at state … earned cross-country Academic All-State and All-Conference honors for two consecutive years … a member of the honor roll for six semesters.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – For the second-straight meet, and under rainy and humid conditions, the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s cross country teams traversed the course at Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve as both squads competed at the Briar Cliff University Invite on Friday in Sioux City, Iowa. In the women’s 5K race, Annika Vermeulen (Mitchell, S.D.) kicked off the action while Caleb Sayler (Lennox, S.D.) and the DWU men’s team toed the line in the 8K race.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – In their second meet of the season, the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s cross country teams battled against stiff competition at the Morningside Invitational on Friday held at the Adams Nature Preserve in Sioux City, Iowa. In the women’s 5K race, it was once Morgan Oedekoven () and Annika Vermeulen (Mitchell, S.D.) stepping up to the start line while the men’s team came away with a sixth-place finish in the team standings.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – In their first race of the 2021 season, the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s cross country teams toed the line at the Augustana Twilight Meet on Friday night at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, S.D. Two members of the Dakota Wesleyan women’s cross country team competed in the 5K race while the DWU men battled in the 4-mile race, coming away with a 28th-place finish in the team standings.
