Bio
Shannon Richards-Gebbia joined the team in January 2026 as a Graduate Assistant while earning a Master of Education in Athletic and Activities Administration at DWU.
Shannon served as the head coach of Park City High School’s varsity and JV softball teams in Park City, Utah from 2013-2019, as well as Salt Lake City’s Ballistik Softball club team from 2014-2019. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Utah in 2020, she went on to teach Special Education and coach high school men’s basketball at City Academy in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A Louisiana native, Shannon played her college ball at Northwest Shoals CC in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, specializing in outfield, slapping, and strategic baserunning. She expanded her multi-sport passion into tackle football in 2015, with her professional athletic career culminating in two national championships with the Utah Falconz women’s tackle football team as a defensive end and nose tackle.
Shannon is supported by her amazing wife Natalie and their three cats, four chickens, and highly-spoiled dog Paxwell, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
