General: Brightman joins the DWU women’s soccer team from Earlham High School and looks to provide depth at the forward position.
High School: Finished first on her team, fourth in the conference, 27th in 2A and tied for 64th in the state with 16 goals and nine assists her junior season … named All-Conference Second Team her junior year … in 2016 she finished first on her team, first in the conference, fourth in 2A and 12th in the state with 28 goals and 11 assists … her sophomore season she was named All-State First Team, All-Conference First Team, All-District First Team and IAHSSCA All-State Honorable Mention … received an academic letter in 2017 and 2016 … played for the Earlham soccer club from 2010-2015 … played for the VSA Premier Team in 2016 and 2017 … also competed in track for her high school.
Personal: Born March 24, 2000 … daughter of Mark and Roberta Brightman … plans to major in wildlife management and environmental sciences.
