Bio
General: Will look to cap off a stellar career for the Tigers and lead the Tiger offensive threat.
Senior (2020): Started in 14 games for the Tigers… Recorded 11 goals and five assists… Tallied 42 shots and 23 shots-on-goal.
Redshirt-Senior (2019): Injured in the first game of the season, received a medical redshirt.
Junior (2018): Started in 15 of 17 games for the Tigers ... tallied a career high 16 goals and one assist ... recorded 33 points.
Sophomore (2017): Another phenomenal year offensively for Weidler, scoring eight goals and three assists in 2017 … also had 52 shots and 24 shots on goal.
Freshman (2016): The top offensive threat for the Tigers ... tallied five goals as a freshman ... added two assists and tallied 29 shots on goal and 43 total shots ... recorded a hat trick against Mount Marty on Oct. 18.
High School: In her soccer career with the Knights, Weidler scored 42 goals and was the leading scorer all four seasons … was part of a very successful O'Gorman program that won the state tournament in 2013 and 2015, while in 2012 and 2014 the Knights placed second … named to the All-State First Team all four years and to the Elite 11 in 2015 … has also been successful in track and field, finished in eighth place at the state meet in 2012 and 2013, jumped her way to a third-place finish in 2014 … also, in 2014 finished seventh in the 100-meter dash and was part of the Knights 4X100-meter relay team that finished in fourth … for the 2015 season was a member of the medley relay team that finished third at the state meet … in addition to soccer and track and field, Weidler was also part of the Knights gymnastics program and has played soccer for the DASC Black club soccer team.
Personal: Born June 11, 1998 … daughter of Ron and Judy Weidler … a sports, exercise and wellness major.

MITCHELL, S.D. – For the second time in her career, Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) was selected to the Great Plains Athletic Conference First Team following a record-setting season, as Josephine Bardsley (Tea, S.D.) made the First Team for the first time in her career. Five Tigers in all were tabbed to the All-GPAC Team, the conference announced Friday.

DWU outpaced College of Saint Mary running away with a 4-2 victory and notching their fourth-consecutive victory to begin the season.
CRETE, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s soccer team hit the road for the first time this season as they battled Doane University. DWU pounded Doane in the non-conference contest, 4-0 Sunday in Crete, Neb.
MITCHELL, S.D. – Despite all the makings for a breakout year, a sense of gratitude and thankfulness overshadows the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s soccer team entering the culmination of the 2020 season. However, with a strong nucleus of experience and leadership returning to the pitch, the Tigers look to boast a spot in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Tournament.
