MITCHELL, S.D. – In the midst of a four-game road stretch, the Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team continues non-conference play versus Waldorf University at 3 p.m. on Saturday in Forest City, Iowa. Dakota Wesleyan knocked off in-state rival Mount Marty University by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday in Yankton, S.D.
About the Tigers
- The DWU defense, led by senior forward Kassidy Johnson (Hartford, S.D.), is limiting opponents to 7.3 shots on goal per match and 0.75 goals per contest thus far during the 2021 season.
- Freshman goalkeeper Isabella Gregg (Moreno Valley, Calif.) collected her second victory of the season during Wednesday's 3-1 road win registering four saves while allowing the lone goal.
- The Tiger offensive unit notched a season-high three goals versus the Lancers including a late goal by freshman forward Madison Jenny (Columbus, Neb.), who found the back of the net in the 89th minute for her first career goal.
About the Warriors
- Saturday's match will be the ninth contest for the Warriors thus far during the 2021 campaign as WU enters with an overall record of 1-7-0.
- Junior duo Sydney Boyd and Adrianna Vargas propelled Waldorf to a 3-0 road victory over MMU two weeks ago. During the 2020 season, Boyd broke the program record for most points in a single-season with 32 and tied the single-season record for goals with 15 goals scored.
