CRETE, Neb. — Dakota Wesleyan Women's Wrestling wrapped up the regular season at the GPAC Duals down in Nebraska where they squared off against three teams in separate duals.
The team first faced the 12th-ranked Doane Tigers before squaring off against the receiving votes Midland Warriors and the 14th-ranked Hastings Broncos. The Tigers found themselves on the back foot with forfeits at 103, 110, and 117 in all three duals, but DWU was able to grab a win against Doane in the 138 bout, where Tiara Faehnrich scored a pinfall over Sienna Long in 1:48. She would be the lone win of the first dual, as Dakota Wesleyan fell 43-6. The Tigers were able to score two wins against Midland, winning the 131 bout following an impressive technical superiority from Isabelle Camarillo, along with a forfeit victory at 207 by Kaitlin Gay. The two wins would earn DWU nine team points, but the 39 posted by Midland gave the Warriors the dual win. The final dual of the day saw the Broncos sweep the Tigers in the dual, 50-0. Overall, the Tigers finished the regular season 2-5 as a group in dual meets following the day's contests.
