Freshman (2016-17): Played in all 33 games … scored 3.3 points per game and averaged 4.2 rebounds per game … scored a season-high 12 points against Dordt College.

High School: Averaged 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists per game as a Cossack ... named All-State First Team in basketball and Big East and LCC All-Conference Team ... Brookings Register All-Register Team ... helped his team to a Big East Conference championship going 20-5, finishing in fifth place at the stat tournament ... also lettered four times in football ... Tigers season ends in closing seconds of NAIA National Tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – With 16.9 seconds to play, Ty Hoglund (Dell Rapids, S.D.) brought the ball up the court and swung the ball around the top of the key and found Nygel Drury (Madison, Wis.) for the game-winning 3-pointer, but the shot fell short. The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team fell to the College of Idaho, 62-60 in the second round of the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship, presented by Cypress Risk Management, Friday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
