MITCHELL, S.D. — RV Dakota Wesleyan Men's Wrestling hosted the Northwestern Red Raiders in one of its two home dual meets within the 2025-26 season.

Chase Preston kicked off the meet for the Tigers at 125 pounds, facing Logan Schroeder of NWC, who controlled the majority of the match to claim a 5-1 decision win over the sophomore. Kipp Cordes got the Tigers on the scoreboard with a gutsy 8-6 decision win over Skoglund, but the Red Raiders answered back in the 141 and 149-pound weight classes with back-to-back major decisions, as Parmelee would grab a 16-7 win over freshman Ian Metz, and Burnette won 10-1 over Landon Flogstad of Dakota Wesleyan. Northwestern would hold an 11-3 lead through the initial portion of the contest.

The Tigers found a response at the 157-pound weight class, as senior Tyson Johnson won his match by an 11-8 decision following an exciting battle with Braun of Northwestern to add three points to the team scoreboard. Lane Miller posted a dominant 19-3 technical fall (4:43) to tie the match up on the team scoreboard, and the Tigers would claim the lead following a forfeit victory for Teagan Foreman at 174. Jagger Tyler continued the Tigers' momentum after bumping up to the 184-pound weight class, where he recorded a 15-0 technical fall in just over two minutes, which was followed up by an electric pinfall in the first period from freshman Jaxon Quail at 197 pounds to extend DWU's lead to 28-11. Heavyweight Cole Hennings ended the night with a stout 7-2 decision win, ending the dual at a score of 31-11 in favor of the Tigers.

DWU Men's Wrestling will be back in action at the GPAC Duals down in Sioux City, Iowa, on Tuesday, November 25th. See the full 2025-26 schedule here.
